Hop on the bus and take a tour of homes with the Johnson County Affordable Housing Coalition
The Johnson County Affordable Housing Coalition is hosting a bus tour for members of the Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association on Friday, February 17th from 4:00 to 5:00pm, with a reception following the tour from 5:00 to 6:00pm.
The tour will focus on houses developed, rehabbed or managed by the Housing Authority of Iowa City, the Housing Fellowship, Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity, and Shelter House. Participants will learn about the challenges of creating affordable housing, and about the families who live in these houses — where they work, and how affordable housing contributes to their lives.
Please meet for the tour in the parking lot of the Eastside Recycling Center at 2401 Scott Blvd SE in Iowa City. The bus will leave from that location at 4:00pm sharp, and bring everyone back to the Recycling Center for a reception in the Education Room, starting at 5:00pm.
