Bring “SIGNIFICANCE” back to the Iowa Trades!
The Home Builders Association of Iowa and their partners are proud to present an evening with
Mike Rowe on Thursday, September 28th 2017 at the Iowa Events Center. Mike Rowe, executive
producer and host of Dirty Jobs, has long been an advocate for promoting skilled trades in the
workforce. The evening will focus on skilled trades as a strong and viable career choice and promote
their importance in the world when it comes to infrastructure, services, and utilities. Mr. Rowe has
also touted the positives of entering the skilled trades workforce without significant student loan debt,
as well. Highlights of the evening will include a networking social, dinner and program featuring
opening remarks from Governor Kim Reynolds and Mike Rowe’s skilled trades program and
commentary. The Home Builders Association of Iowa has added that all profits from this event will be returned
to partners’ scholarship programs to help fund students seeking skilled trades and vocational scholarships.
