Whole Home RemodelThis whole house remodel and addition was a farm house moved to its current location in 1965. The current owners needed more bedroom, bathroom and storage space but wanted to stay in the wooded lot that accompanies the house. Parts of the original house were over one hundred years old. After much needed foundation work, the oldest part of the house had to be completely torn down and rebuilt. This project features a new kitchen, maple floors, walnut stairs, concrete counters, a master bedroom suite, basement office, laundry and guest room and one thousand square feet of outdoor living space. There are many custom built in cabinets throughout, creating unique storage spaces in all areas. The mechanical systems were completely replaced as they were dangerously under code. The new heating and air conditioning system includes a whole house air exchanger to assure proper indoor air quality, a major concern for all homes.
