This
home’s newly renovated master bathroom proves that a
home can be handicapped- accessible, but doesn’t have
to look it. This luxurious bathroom replaced two existing
bathrooms, and now features a walk-in (or roll-in) shower
with a rain showerhead, an air tub with bubbler, and wheelchair-accessible
vanities. The room is also highlighted by glass block windows,
pocket doors, and, best of all, heated tile underfoot.
The homeowners had worked with Boyd Crosby Construction back
in 2001 when they built a two-story addition to their home.
They turned to Boyd Crosby and his crew again this year when
they wanted to update their kitchen and bath.
The project proved challenging as the crew changed the elevation
of the existing floor in order to make it level with the roll-in
shower. Yet, now that it is complete, this wonderful master
bathroom will serve the homeowners well
now and in the future.
In
addition to the major changes in the bathroom, the airy, contemporary
kitchen was updated with white-stained cabinets, quartz countertops,
stainless steel appliances and bamboo flooring.
