Last year the homeowner purchased this house with the dream of turning its conflicting interiors into an Arts and Crafts style home that would reflect her sense of style and personality. In pursuit of this dream, the homeowner sought the help of Reflections By Design. Together, they began the step-by-step design process, beginning with an initial consultation where the homeowner’s wants and needs were explored. Next, Reflections By Design created CAD drawing including floor plans, elevations, and color renderings for every room. During their examination of a previous addition to the house, it was discovered that there was no heating or cooling supply to the addition. Reflections By Design corrected this, while also updating the home’s electrical wiring.

In the end the homeowner’s dream of an Arts and Crafts style home was realized by the utilization of custom quarter-sawn oak millwork, cabinetry, and furniture; granite fireplace surround and countertops; custom stained glass lighting and doors; authentic William Morris wallpaper and fabrics; and copper and wrought iron accent pieces throughout the home. The homeowner’s once diamond-in-therough house can now truly be called a home.
