The
homeowner wanted a bright and airy, yet private, family room
added to his 1950’s ranch. He also hoped that the room
would showcase his style through the bold use of space, lines,
and color.
Duffey Brothers Construction reviewed several different ways
that this could be achieved. “We feel that the customer
is going to be the one living there, and that it’s important
to get their ideas of what they want realized in the project,”
said Greg Duffey.
Duffey Brothers Construction designed a room with vaulted
ceilings, bathed in light, with a private view spilling out
into the wonderfully landscaped garden.
A new front entrance also gives the home an inviting focal
point on an old town city lot. Adding a porch and an upper
gable also greatly improved the home’s curb appeal.
In the end, the homeowner loves his new room. Mission accomplished.
