This
home was custom built in 1980 and the original kitchen included
a large seating area with minimal working space. The overall
kitchen seemed very small in comparison to the size of the
house.
Carpentry By Chris undertook a complete redesign of the space,
expanding the kitchen into the space that had been a dining
area. Enlarging the kitchen allowed for more work space and
larger appliances, including a 48” dual-fuel range and
a large built-in refrigerator. The bar is also equipped with
is own undercounter refrigerator with icemaker.
The new kitchen has a modern feel with frameless cherry cabinets,
Monarch Gold granite countertops, and a tumbled stone backsplash
highlighted by under cabinet lighting.
The new design includes a large island with cabinet storage,
a peninsula with seating counter, a separate bar area, and
a seating nook. The result is a kitchen which is the ideal
place to work and spend time in.
