PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Even the best-laid plans sometimes need to change.  The original plan was to completely restore this older home, built around the turn of the century. However, at the start of the project it was quickly determined that the house was beyond repair. McDonough Structures designed and built an all-new, high-performance home in its place, taking into consideration the existing topography, landscape and neighborhood.

McDonough Structures incorporated a multitude of energy-efficient features and design elements including a geothermal heating and cooling system, foam insulation and a metal roof among others. The house is also high in style featuring custom cabinets and built-ins throughout, custom counters and sinks and many other unique features.

The end result, a new home that fits right into this older neighborhood and also incorporates the best of today’s environmentally-friendly features.
