General Information
CONSTRUCTION IS ESSENTIAL
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has deemed housing a part of our nation’s “essential critical infrastructure workforce.” This determination underscores the importance of keeping residential construction operational through through the pandemic. Read the official advisory memo announcing the declaration for more details.
Why is residential construction considered “essential?” Homes are more essential than ever. They are our schools, our playgrounds and our sanctuaries. The Department of Homeland Security, Governor Reynolds and local officials recognized this by listing residential construction as essential. They realize that building trades must be able to provide residential construction, repairs and renovations to help ensure that citizens have a safe and reliable place to shelter.
